Jehovah-JIREH: The Lord is our Provider, The Lord is our Source, The Lord will See

Genesis 22:1 Now it came to pass after these things, that God tested Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.

Genesis 22:2 Then He said, take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.

Genesis 22:3 so Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass (donkey), and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave (split) the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

Genesis 22:4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.

Genesis 22:5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide (stay) here with the ass (donkey); and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.

Genesis 22:6 so Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.

Genesis 22:7 And Isaac spoke to Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

Genesis 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

Genesis 22:9 Then they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.

Genesis 22:10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

Genesis 22:11 And the Angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, here am I.

Genesis 22:12 And He said, do not lay your hand upon the lad, or do anything unto him: for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son from me.

Genesis 22:13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him, a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

Genesis 22:14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-Jireh: as it is said to this day, in the mount of the LORD it shall be seen or the Lord shall provide.

Genesis 22:15 Then the Angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,

Genesis 22:16 And said, by Myself have I sworn, says the LORD, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son.

Genesis 22:17 That in blessing I will bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply your Seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and your Seed shall possess the gate of His enemies;

Genesis 22:18 And in your Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because you have obeyed my voice.

1. God has provided Himself a Lamb

God gave dominion over the earth to mankind, in the book of Genesis. He bound Himself to only operate on earth, when we allow him to do so. He found father Abraham, and made a blood covenant with Father Abraham in Genesis 15. In a blood covenant normally the two parties cutting the covenant, must both walk between the animals’ parts, but when God made a covenant with Abraham, He put Abram into a deep sleep, and a burning torch passed between the pieces. The burning torch is Jesus, who is the burning bush, who spoke to Moses in Exodus 3. Abraham understood what it meant. It meant in that covenant, God would do everything. Abraham only had to obey Him, but God would do everything, and if at a point, someone needed to die, it would not be in the household of Abraham, but of God, for Abraham never passed between those pieces, but Jesus did.

Once God had the covenant with Abraham, it gave Him legal ground to start His redemption plan for the entire world. Since sin came through mankind, and with it all the curses, death and sickness, only mankind could redeem mankind. So God explained the plan of redemption to His friend Abraham, that what Abraham was enjoying with God, God wanted the entire world to enjoy, but to make it possible, Abraham must do a prophetic action. Abraham must offer His only begotten son as a burnt offering, which is a sacrifice for sin, so that God could offer His only begotten Son Jesus, as a burnt offering for the sins of the entire world. Abraham said okay, I can do that prophetic action. Faith is based on what we know. If there are unanswered questions, it is difficult to have faith. Abraham obeyed God because of the covenant they made. He knew that his son would not die, and even if he burnt him, God would raise him from the ashes, because Abraham never passed between the pieces when they cut the covenant.

The writer of Hebrews tells us: by faith Abraham, when He was tested, offered up Isaac, concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense (Hebrews 11:17-19). From the first day, that early morning when they departed for the land of Moriah, in the heart of Abraham, Isaac was figuratively dead. The journey took them three days. On the third day when they arrived at the feet of one of the mountains of Moriah, Abraham figuratively received his only begotten son back from the dead. Abraham laid the wood on his only son and he carried it onto the mountain, where he was to be offered. And Abraham took the fire and the knife with him, to slay and burn his only son whom he loved. So when Abraham had done all these things prophetically; the Angel of the Lord, who is Jesus (Isaiah 63:8-9) said to him do not lay your hand on your son Isaac.

It was just a prophetic action, but I, Jesus, the only begotten Son of God the Father, will fulfil this prophetic action you have done. For by so doing, since we are in a covenant, you have given Me the legal ground to come onto earth. Had you not done it, I could not have that legal ground, since I gave the earth to mankind to keep it and tend it. Because of Abraham, the blood of Isaac cannot save anybody, because he is the seed of Adam, and had sinned, like the entire world. Besides I do not take delight in the blood of any human, or in burning any human! These are pagan ways of worshiping demons. And I specifically forbade you to imitate the pagans who worship that demon Molech, saying: you shall not let any of your descendants pass through the fire to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am the Lord (Leviticus 18:21). Furthermore I commanded you saying: you shall not murder (Exodus 20:13). So, that repugnant idea of you killing your son, and burning him up, had never crossed My mind at any time, for these are the ways of demons. But it was only a prophetic action. Yet I the Lord will literally give My only begotten Son, Jesus, who is the Lamb, without blemish, who will be born of a virgin, so that the sin of Adam, will not be in Him. I will offer Him up as a burnt offering for the sins of the world.

And two thousand years ago, God the Father sent His only begotten Son, into the world to come and fulfil the prophetic action Abraham did. Just like Abraham rose early in the morning to go to the Land of Moriah to offer Isaac. The bible says: immediately in the morning, the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes, and the whole counsel; and they bound Jesus, led Him away and delivered Him to Pilate (Mark 15:1). The Journey to the cross for Jesus, also started early in the morning like the one Isaac took with Abraham. Jesus carried His wooden cross, just like Isaac carried the wood on which he was to be sacrificed. The mountain of Moriah on which Abraham led Isaac to be offered up as a burnt offering, is the same mountain on which Christ was crucified and received the fiery judgment of the wrath of God, on the sins of the world. Jesus died and was buried but on the third day He rose again. Just like the prophetic Journey of Abraham and Isaac took three days, so did the Journey of Jesus to redeem us. Abraham who was the father, carried fire and a knife to kill and burn his son Isaac prophetically. So did God the Father, the fire represents the judgement of God on the sinners, Jesus became our sin offering or burnt offering, to take away the sin of the world.

The Father is the one who poured the fire of Judgment on Jesus. The Jews did not kill Jesus, nor did the Romans. God did. Jesus laid His life down willingly, no one took it from Him (John 10:18). Just like Abraham and Isaac prophetically went up to Mount Moriah together. Isaiah says: yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him, He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering from sin, He shall see His Seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand (Isaiah 53:10). Many gentile Christians accuse the Jews of killing Jesus. They were just instruments, God was the one who killed Jesus, Jesus willingly died for my sins and your sins, no one on earth killed him. The Father and Jesus were in agreement to do it, so that we can be saved. God bruised Jesus for our iniquities, laid stripes on Him for our healing, and poured His fiery wrath on Jesus, so that He would die for our sins; for the wages of sin is death, and Jesus died for our sins, by the hand of the Father, just like Abraham was the one holding the fire and the knife, to both kill and burn Isaac. Just like Abraham believed that Isaac would come back from the dead after the sacrifice, God also said, He shall see His Seed, Jesus, again, He shall prolong the days of His Seed, for after His resurrection Jesus lives forever. This is the pleasure of the Lord, by the death and resurrection of Jesus, it is possible for whosoever to become a son or daughter of God, and be blessed with father Abraham.

2. Jehovah-Jireh our provider, our source

Genesis 22:14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-Jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen or it shall be provided.

We have succinctly explained what Abraham and Isaac did prophetically, in their journey of three days, that they took to Mount Moriah, the Mount of the Lord. It was not just the death of Jesus, but also the resurrection of Jesus. Paul tells us: if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ: whom He did not raise up, if in fact the dead do not rise. For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; you are yet in your sins (1Corinthians 15:14-17).

Without the resurrection of Christ, the cross is worthless, for many people were crucified, even on the day Jesus was crucified, He was crucified with two thieves. God, by the death and resurrection of Jesus, has provided everything we will ever need. He provided righteousness to us; even the righteousness of God was imputed to us. He provided Holiness (godliness) or sanctification, even the holiness of Christ, which He imputed to us.

We became sons and daughters of God, heirs/heiresses of God, and joint-heirs/joint-heiresses with Christ. He gave us victory over the power of darkness. He provided divine guidance; He brought us into His presence and brought His presence to us. All the redemptive truths and blessings, we have been studying thus far in the Perfect Redemption Plan, have been provided to us by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jehovah-Jireh is more than the God who provides finances to you, but is the God who provides the entire salvation package or perfect redemption plan. Please, when you hear Jehovah-Jireh, do not limit Him in your area of finances. When you read the account of Genesis 22, Abraham was not asking for money! But as we have explained, it was all the blessings contained in the redemption Jesus has purchased for us, with His own life.

II.1 I am blessed with Father Abraham

Genesis 22:15 Then the Angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,

Genesis 22:16 And said, by Myself have I sworn, says the LORD, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son.

Genesis 22:17 That in blessing I will bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply your Seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and your Seed shall possess the gate of His enemies;

Genesis 22:18 And in your Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because you have obeyed my voice.

Father Abraham heard the voice of God the first time, which told him to go to the Mount of the Lord, where the only begotten son is offered up as a sacrifice. When he obeyed the voice, and did the things he was asked to, then the Angel of the Lord, who is Jesus, spoke to him the second time. He told Him that God has sworn that He will bless him and multiply him. What does it have to do with us? What message was Jesus and God trying to pass across to us? Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, whom God offered up on Mount Moriah to save the world, and raised him from the dead on the third day (John 3:16). When we put our faith in God through Jesus, like Abraham did, then we are blessed with father Abraham. Father Abraham heard from God that he should go to the Mountain of the Lord to offer a burnt offering, an offering for sin for the soul, that sins must die (Ezekiel 18:4). But when he got there, Jesus spoke to him: you do not have to die for your sins, God has provided a Lamb for himself to die in your stead, in fact I am the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29).

Today God is speaking the same message to the entire world. This is my beloved Son Jesus, in whom I am well pleased, hear what My Son has to say (Matthew 3:17; Matthew 17:5). Listen to what He says to the world: for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in His Son should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). If people do not receive Jesus into their life even God cannot help them. Abraham believed in Jesus, so should we. People will say I have “god” I do not need your Jesus. John says: Whoever denies the Son, does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son, has the Father also (1John 2:23). Jesus says: let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in Me (John 14:1). This is the foundation. Unless a person comes to God through the finished word of Jesus, he is still in darkness and cannot have the blessing of Abraham.

Paul says: For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ (1Corinthians 3:11). Once you have received Jesus in your life, the foundation is laid, and you are now blessed. God Himself said: by Myself have I sworn, says the LORD, because you have believed in Jesus, in His death and resurrection, that in blessing I will bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply your Seed (Genesis 22:16-17). God spoke to the prophet Haggai saying: consider now from this day forward, which is from the day the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid, consider it, from this day I will bless you (Haggai 2:18-19). My friend when we believe, we were born again and our body became the temple of the Lord, Jesus Christ our foundation was laid, and from the day we were born again, God said He blessed us. Paul says: God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3). My friend you were blessed the day you became born again. When you believe on Jesus, you become a son or daughter of God; like your elder brother Jesus Christ who is the Son of the Blessed (Mark 14:61). You are blessed because you are a son or daughter of the Blessed. Your Father is the Blessed and not the “cursed”. You only have blessings no curses.

Our blessings are in Christ Jesus, it is because of His death and resurrection that God provided this blessing to us. If a person is not in Christ He cannot have these blessings. Jesus is the Seed of Abraham. Paul says: now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, and to seeds, as of many; but as of one, and to Your Seed, which is Christ (Galatians 3:16). When we believe in Christ, the Seed of Abraham, we receive the same blessing of Abraham. Paul says: Christ, the Seed of Abraham, has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree: that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles, through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Galatians 3:13-14). You and I are blessed and not cursed with the blessing of Abraham, when we received Jesus. You are blessed, believe it, just like you believe that you are saved. When you received Jesus, He took your sins and imputed His righteousness to you. The blessings are on the head of the righteous (Proverbs 10:6). The blessing of the Lord makes rich and adds no sorrow with it (Proverbs 10:22). Yes, the blessing of Abraham which is upon you, causes you to multiply and to possess the gate of your enemies (Genesis 22:17).

If only the whole world could be born again, they would be blessed too; for God promised in the Seed of Abraham, which is Jesus, all the nations of the earth shall be blessed (Genesis 22:18). There is no blessing outside Jesus. The so-called blessings not found in Jesus, add sorrows. God is a just God, it does not matter what your nationality is, your country of origin, your social background, your ethnicity, your skin colour, etc. Once you believe in Jesus, the Seed of Abraham, you are blessed with every spiritual blessing. Peter opened his mouth and said: in truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons, or shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness, is accepted by Him (Acts 10:34-35).

II.2 Turning the curses of the enemy into blessings

Sometimes in a church setting some insecure leaders pronounce curses over the people of God, to put fear in their heart, so that they will do what they are asking them to do. Forcing people to obey us is not from God, putting fear in people’s heart so that they can do what we want, is not from God. It is simply the spirit of witchcraft. God does not curse His children, but His enemies. We are created in the image and likeness of God. God loves His creation and does not go about cursing His children. Even when Adam and Eve sinned; God cursed the serpent (Genesis 3:14-15), and He cursed the ground for the sake of Adam (Genesis 3:17-19).

Jesus never cursed any human being when He walked on earth, He cursed the fig tree, but never a human being, for God so loved the world and the people whom He created in His own image and likeness, that He gave His only begotten Son Jesus to die for them. If a minister of God curses you, it is from His flesh, God is not cursing you, He did not curse Adam, nor did Jesus curse anybody on earth. Jezebel works with such a spirit, and was putting fear in people’s hearts. If you do not do what she wants: you are in big trouble! Balaam is also of the kind; he puts curses on the people of God for financial reasons. This is what Jesus says about these two kinds of leadership in the church. I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam (Revelation 2:14). I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants (Revelation 2:20).

The people who allow themselves to be used by the Balaam spirit, do it for money. They find all the curses in the book of Malachi, and in the rest of the bible, and pronounce those curses, to put fear in people’s hearts, so that they will give money. They do that also to get recognition in churches, so they are sent by some leader in the church, to read all those curses or even prophesy those curses. Balaam was a hired prophet to the king Balak. There are some professional “offering raisers”, they have all the scriptures to manipulate people to give more money. It is a Balaam spirit. People who allow themselves to be used by the Jezebel spirit, put fear in people’s hearts, so that they will do what they want. They will even use prophecies; they want to control your life. God hates these two spirits.

God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power and sound mind (2Timothy 1:7). Do not be afraid of the curses and prophecies of those allowing themselves to be used by the Balaam spirit, and the Jezebel spirit. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree: that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Galatians 3:13-14). You are no longer under the law and its system of blessings and curses, which is the curse Paul talked about, but now you are under grace.

You are blessed and not cursed by God. Jesus destroyed the power of the curses contained in the law over your life; for He removed us from being under the law and its system of blessings and curses, to put us in a new dispensation or administration of the house of God, which is the dispensation or administration of grace (Romans 6:14-15, Ephesians 3:2). So when they use the bible to curse you, remember what Christ has done, confess it and believe it. Jesus wiped out the handwriting of requirements that were against us, which was contrary to us. And He nailed it to the cross (Colossians 2:14). For you to be cursed using the law, they need to remove the prints of the nails, that went through the hands and feet of Jesus. I know they cannot, for the resurrected Jesus still bears them. He said to Thomas: reach your hand here and look at My hands; and reach your hand here and put them into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing (John 20:27). Yes, believe He nailed all the curses contained in the law, and removed you from being under the law, and its system of blessings and curses, to place you under grace. Jesus still has the prints of the nails to prove it.

Balaam was not a prophet of God, but of Baal, he was a soothsayer or diviner (Joshua 13:22). Soothsaying or divination is from the devil and not from God; Israel was forbidden to practice it. In Acts 16 Paul cast out the spirit of divination or soothsaying, out of a damsel. Balaam himself confessed: how shall I curse whom God has not cursed? And how shall I denounce whom the Lord has not denounced (Numbers 23:8)? Balaam confessed also: there is no sorcery or enchantment against Jacob, nor divination against Israel (Numbers 23:23).

Do not be afraid of the enemy trying to curse you, or to do some enchantments. Lift up your shield of faith, and quench all his fiery darts. If anybody, Christian or non-Christian curses you, just bind it, for whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven. Jesus said: Behold, I give unto you the legal authority to exercise power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19). Behold, they shall surely gather together, not by Me; whoever shall gather against you, he shall fall by you. Behold, I have created the smith who blows the coals in the fire, and who brings out a tool for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against you shall be blessed; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah, and their righteousness is from Me, says Jehovah (Isaiah 54:15-17).

II.3 You are complete in Christ

Some believers still feel that what Jesus did for them, by His death and resurrection, is not enough. They need to add something to it. As long as we go by feelings, we will always be disappointed in our Christian pilgrimage. Our faith must be based on what is written, for this was the way, Jesus and the apostles exemplified it for us. Even when we have questions which are unanswered, let us prayerfully ask God to give us the answer in His word. For God cannot speak outside His word, it must line up with His written word. And we can even ask some more mature believers, what the answer to our questions are, always according to the scriptures. When He hanged on the cross, Jesus said: it is finished (John 19:30). Friends He really meant it! Jehovah-Jireh, through the death and resurrection of Jesus, according as His divine power has given or provided unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who has called us to glory and virtue, Whereby are given unto us exceedingly great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature (2Peter 1:3-4).

The more knowledge of the Godhead we have, and what they did in their redemption plan we have, the more we experience the power and materializations of the blessings of God in our life, the more their divine attributes are made manifest through us; for all things have already been provided by our Jehovah-Jireh. We are complete in Christ Jesus, who is the head of all principality and power (Colossians 2:10). All the power we need to conquer and reign in life as kings and queens, has been invested in Christ Jesus, and He dwells in us now. For in Christ Jesus dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9).

In the Book of Hosea, his wife Gomer was always backsliding into prostitution. Gomer means completion or fulfilment. Her husband Hosea went to ransom her from the slave market, and brought her back home and loved her. Hosea means saviour. God was saying to Gomer, you will only be complete in your Saviour, and when you come to your Saviour He will ransom you in full, for that is the meaning of redemption, and He will love you freely, and heal your backsliding, for His wrath is turned away from you. Jesus is our Saviour, when He redeemed us; He healed our backsliding and loves us freely (Hosea 14:4). We have fulfilment and completion in Him.

II.4 You are worthy, Competent and sufficient.

Many believers when they come before God, they think they are not worthy of being in the presence of God, they are not worthy to serve God, they are not worthy to share the gospel with people, they are not worthy to do anything for God. And sometimes it is not their fault: the religious leaders over them taught them to think like that. It is funny; those religious leaders make people think they are the only “somebodies” and the congregation are the “nobodies”. And you will hear people saying: “I am just a worm!” When David by the Spirit said: but I am a worm and no man, a reproach of men, and despised by people. All those who see Me, ridicule Me; they shoot out the lip, they shake their head, saying, He trusted in the Lord, let Him rescue Him; let Him deliver Him since He delights in Him (Psalm 22:6-8). David was prophesying the crucifixion of Jesus. The worm here is crimson: a six-footed worm, which the Jews crushed, and used as ink to dye their clothes, it was red as blood. So David prophetically was saying: Jesus will be crushed like that crimson, six-footed worm, blood will flow out of Him. And the rest of the Psalm is exactly what Jesus and the people said and did, when Jesus was crucified (Matthew 27:39-43). My friend you are not a worm.

Many people think they are not competent to do anything for God, only clergymen and clergywomen can do something for the Lord, or can pray for the sick, or can lead people to Christ. Some think they cannot do anything in life based on their background, or whatever reason they have. But what does the scripture say? We have such trust through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient (Hikanos: worthy, competent, sufficient, security) of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency (Hikanotes: ability, worthiness, competency, sufficiency, secureness) is of God. Who also has made us able (Hikanoo: qualified us, made us able, made us worthy, made us competent, made us secure, made us sufficient) ministers (servants) of the New Testament (2Corinthians 3:4-6). You see my friends, God thinks we are worthy, not of ourselves, but the blood of Jesus has redeemed us, and made us worthy. We do not have to be insecure like Saul was of David, God makes us secure people. We do not have to envy anybody’s talent or manifestation of spiritual gift; we know God is in us doing the work through us. We do not have to copy anybody’s style of preaching or dressing or hairdo! God has qualified us to share His words in our own style, never be a copy of anybody on earth.

God is able to make all grace (all unmerited favour and all divine empowerment) abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency (all ability, all worthiness, all competency, all sufficiency, all secureness) in all things, may abound to every good work (2Corinthians 9:8). God has given you all qualifications in all things, given you all worthiness in all things, given you all competency in all things, given you all secureness in all things. God is at work in you both to will and do for His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). And you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). Have no fear, in the light of this revelation; go and do something for the Lord, share what you know about God with people, heal the sick, cast out devils, raise the dead, start a business, a career, do whatever you want in life, as long as it does not violate the scriptures, Jehovah-Jireh has provided for you, everything you will ever need to succeed. Even when we feel we cannot do it: Jesus says to us: My grace is sufficient for you: for My strength is made perfect in weakness (2Corinthians 12:9).

II.5 Jesus shed His blood in prayer

In the Old Testament, God instructed Moses to build a tabernacle of Meeting, and in the Holy place was the altar of incense, which had four horns (Exodus 30:1-10). The high priest was supposed to make atonement upon the horns once a year, on the Day of Atonement, with the blood of the sin offering of atonement. This allowed the prayers of Israel to be heard for another year, until the next Day of Atonement. The altar is symbolic of our body, and the incense burnt on the altar of incense, are the prayers of believers (Revelation 8:3-4). The horns talked of the power, in this case the power of our prayers. Sin weakened the power of the prayers of believers, and caused God not to hear their prayers. They also knew that God cannot behold iniquity or sin, as it is written: You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and cannot look on iniquity; why do You look upon them that deal treacherously, and hold Your tongue, when the wicked devours the man that is more righteous than he (Habakkuk 1:13)? The Jews knew it, the blind man whom Jesus healed said: now we know that God does not hear sinners (John 9:31). He was quoting what the prophet Zechariah said in Zechariah 7:13.

Sin was our problem; God could not hear our prayers, unless our sins were atoned for. We could not speak to God because our lips were unclean in the sight of God. The prophet Isaiah, after He had seen the vision of Jesus in Heaven, said: woe is me, for I am undone, or cut off, or dead! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Hosts (Isaiah 6:5). Isaiah knew that as a sinner, beholding that vision of Jesus in heaven, would result in his death, unless his sins were at least atoned for or covered. Therefore one of the seraphim flew to him, having in his hand a live coal, which he had taken with the tongs from the altar of incense, and touched the mouth of Isaiah and said: behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity is taken away and your sin is purged or atoned for (Isaiah 6:6-7). Now the live coal or burning coal from the altar of incense, was to let the people know that their iniquities were taken away, and their sins purged or atoned for; but the blood of the sin offering, which had been applied on the four horns of the altar of incense, so that the incense which they burnt on it, could ascend to heaven, as a sweet smelling aroma; in other words, their prayers, which were represented by the incense, could be heard by God, and be a sweet smelling aroma to God.

This is illustrated in the day of Moses, when Korah, Dathan and Abiram in Numbers 16, started a rebellion in the wilderness, and had many followers. A plague broke throughout the camp, the earth was opened and swallowed up Korah and his household; and then a fire, which is the judgement of God, consumed two hundred and fifty men (Numbers 16:31-35). Moses instructed Aaron the high priest to take burning coals, or live coals, and put them in the censer and quickly take it to the congregation, and make atonement for them (Numbers 16:46). When Aaron brought the live coals in the censer, it took away the iniquities of the congregation, and purged or atoned for their sin of rebellion, and then he put incense on the live coals in the censer, which are the prayers of the believers, and God heard their prayers, and the plague stopped striking the people.

Jesus is our sin offering, He died for our sin, He took away our iniquities and remitted our sins and transgressions; applied His blood on the horns of the altar of incense, so that sin will never weaken the power of our prayers, since His blood has taken away our iniquities and remitted our sins. Luke tells us, Jesus was in agony, He prayed more earnestly, then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground (Luke 22:44).Here Jesus, as our High Priest and our sin offering as well, was applying His blood on the horns of our altar of incense, or altar of prayer; so that our prayers will always be heard by God, and always be a sweet smelling aroma to God. Jesus being our Sin offering, suffered the wrath of the fiery judgment of God on our behalf, hence remitted once for all the sin of the whole world, and took away our iniquities. Furthermore, Jesus did not just atone for our sins; but remitted them, and changed our spiritual condition, from sinner to righteous. For before we became born again, we were sinners, and God does not hear the prayers of sinners, unless they are atoned for, or covered like in the Old Testament on the Day of Atonement; but Christ Jesus remitted our sins, took away our iniquities, and imputed His righteousness unto us: we are no longer sinners, but righteous (Romans 3:22).

When we receive Jesus Christ in our life; we are no longer of unclean lips; we are no longer under the fiery judgment of God, since Jesus suffered it all in our stead. We are no longer afraid like Isaiah was, thinking that he was dead when he saw Jesus. John the beloved saw exactly the same vision Isaiah saw, of Jesus in the temple in heaven in Isaiah 6:1-3. And John did not react the same way Isaiah did; because He knew that the cross had taken place; that Jesus had died for our sins to remit them, and taken away our iniquities. He had applied His blood on the horns of our altar of incense, and had touched our lips with the live coal so we can stand before God and speak to Him boldly, for our spiritual lips are clean. This is how John describes the same vision he saw of Jesus, which Isaiah saw: a door standing open in heaven, and I heard a voice like that of a trumpet speaking with me, and saying: come up here, and I will show you things that must take place after this. Immediately I was in the spirit; and behold a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne (Revelation 4:1-2). The four living creatures were saying: holy, holy, holy, the Lord God almighty; who was and is and is to come (Revelation 4:8). John was not afraid at all, even when he heard the voice of God, and even when he was in heaven, before the throne of God.

I still hear people saying what Isaiah said: “I am a man or woman of unclean leaps, woe is me I am undone or I am dead!” They think they are being humble, but what they are actually doing is rejecting the fact that Jesus was their sin offering, who remitted their sins and took away their iniquities; that Jesus put the live coal on their lips, so that their lips are clean, and not unclean any more, and then applied His blood on the four horns of our spiritual altar of incense, so that our prayers are always heard by God . In the book of Acts, Peter was still struggling with unclean and clean, and God told Peter: what God has cleansed do not call common or unclean (Acts 10:15). Your lips are clean, agree with God! Jesus has imputed His righteousness unto you; you can come boldly in the presence of Your Father, and speak to Him; He will always hear your prayer. Jesus said: Father I thank You that you have heard Me, and I know you always hear Me (John 11:41-42).

Yes spiritually Jesus has made us of clean lips, now Paul tells us, we need to act accordingly, physically too, saying: Let not any filthy word or corrupt communication, come out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may give grace to the ones hearing (Ephesians 4:29). Just like God has imputed the righteousness of God unto us, and made us righteous, so that He always hears our prayers, now John tells us, we must act accordingly, saying: Little children, let no one deceive you. He who does righteousness is righteous; even as that One [Jesus from whom we have received our righteousness] is righteous. He who practices sin is of the Devil, for the Devil sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was revealed, that He might undo the works of the Devil. Everyone who has been born of God does not commit sin, because His seed remains in him, and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. In this the children of God are revealed, and the children of the Devil: everyone not practicing righteousness, is not of God, also he who does not love his brother (1John 3:7-10).

You can also say the same thing. You are now righteous and not sinners anymore, because Jesus died for your sins and imputed His righteousness to you. I sometimes hear people saying in prayer: “O God, open Your ear to our prayers”. But Jesus is telling us: He shed His blood so that your prayers are always heard by God. God hears the prayer of the righteous (Proverbs 15:29). You need to pray like Jesus, the righteous One, who imputed His righteousness unto you, saying: Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. And I know that You hear Me always: but because of the people who stand by I said it, that they may believe that You have sent Me (John 11:41-42). The effectual and fervent prayer of the righteous avails much (James 5:16). Your prayers are powerful, because Jesus applied His blood on the four horns of your altar of incense, or altar of prayer.

So what Isaiah prayed: incline your ear, O Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, O Lord, and see (Isaiah 37:17). Jesus did not pray this kind of prayer before the tomb of Lazarus, we also know that God always hears our prayers; He does not need to literally incline His ear; because He already dwells in us and we dwell in Him; for our life is hid with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3). May God grant us the grace to pray by the power of the Holy Ghost. He promised us, saying: I will pour on the house of David, and on the people of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of prayers. And they shall look on Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be bitter over Him, as bitterness over the first-born (Zechariah 12:10).

II.6 Crown of thorns

There are many things we have received freely from Jehovah-Jireh, when He provided a Lamb for Himself on Mount Moriah. Jesus is our Lamb that Jehovah-Jireh provided. The Roman soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on the head of Jesus (Matthew 27:29). In the book of Genesis, after the fall of Adam and Eve, God said: cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you. And you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread (Genesis 3:17-19). Before the fall, God put Adam in the Garden of Eden to tend and keep it (Genesis 2:15). Toiling or hard labour was never the plan of God from the beginning.

Tending and keeping the Garden, involves some work, but not toiling. God had a plan to redeem us from this particular curse contained in the Law. A crown of thorns was placed on the head of Jesus, and blood came out, so that the ground will no longer be cursed for your sake. It will no longer bring forth thorns and thistles for you, you will no longer eat bread by the sweat of your face, but you will enjoy the fruit and good of all your labour, it is a gift of God (Ecclesiastes 3:13). Christ’s death and resurrection has made it possible to remove that curse for you. Jesus was crucified at Golgotha that is to say: Place of a Skull (Matthew 27:33). Jesus died for your mind. There are many things that come against us, so that we will lose our mind, but because Jesus died on the cross at the Place of a Skull, wearing the crown of thorns, He says to us: God has not given us a spirit of fear to fear again, but the Spirit of power, love and sound mind (2Timothy 1:7). So mental illness and madness, is not your portion; for Jesus Christ bore the crown of thorns, and was crucified on the Place of a Skull, so that you will receive your soundness of mind!

When we are born again, we have the mind of Christ (1Corinthians 2:16). Do not condemn your mind; Christ wore that crown of thorns so that you can receive His mind freely. When you are born again, your mind is not enmity against God, for you have Jesus dwelling in you. God is at work in you both to will and do for His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). Thus you are allowing the mind, which was also in Christ Jesus, to be in you (Philippians 2:5). As we read and study the scriptures, we are being transformed by the renewing of our mind, so the carnal ways, which used to be in us, are being removed, and we are now doing things which are good, acceptable and perfect, to the will of God contained in the scriptures (Romans 12:2). We must agree with the finished work of Jesus, Jehovah-Jireh has freely equipped us with the mind of Christ! Christ Jesus has been made wisdom to us (1Corinthians 1:24). Both worldly and spiritual wisdom have been given to us, we have the ingenuity, and the creativity of God, since Christ dwells in us. We can start any business; excel in our studies and careers, because we have the mind of Christ.

Solomon received wisdom and understanding from God (1Kings 4:29). People came from afar to hear the Wisdom of Solomon. Jesus said: the queen of the south shall rise up in the judgement with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth, to hear the Wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here (Matthew 12:42). Yes, Jesus Christ is here, He is greater than Solomon, all the wisdom and understanding Solomon received, is nothing compared to who Jesus is; Jesus is the wisdom of God. You have the mind of Christ, you have no limitation in life, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). So never think that Solomon is the only one who received wisdom and understanding from God! Solomon received the gift of wisdom. but, you have received the Giver of Wisdom, Jesus, and He lives in you and has given you His mind.

II.7 The nails on Jesus’ hands and feet

Jesus received the nails on His feet so that the promise of the Lord would be fulfilled in us that said: every place the sole of your foot will tread upon, I have given you, as I said to Moses (Joshua 1:3). Moses was only telling the people the promise God gave to their father Abraham. The LORD said unto Abram, after Lot was separated from him, Lift up now your eyes, and look from the place where you are northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which you see, I give to you and to your descendants forever. And I will make your seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall your descendants also be numbered. Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I give it unto you (Genesis 13:14-17). God has an inheritance for you, Jesus died to redeem your inheritance. It is the plan of the enemy to prevent us from entering the rest God has redeemed or fully ransomed for us, by the death and resurrection of Jesus.

The number one plan of the enemy is to look at our circumstances, and the place where we are, and make us believe that we will always stay in that same spot, our entire life. When we do not know what God had redeemed for us by the death and resurrection of Jesus, we perish in the wilderness of life, when God has a land flowing with milk and honey. So God says: now lift up your eyes and look from the place you are. Lift up your eyes to behold Jesus, and the finished work of the cross, like in the wilderness, the people lifted up their eyes to behold the serpent of brass on the pole. See the finished work of Jesus; believe what your Father Jehovah-Jireh has provided for you, by the sacrifice of Jesus. Look at the full extent of your inheritance; what has been fully ransomed for you. In fact, it is a great land, look northward, southward, eastward and westward, as far as you can see, all the land and the promises you can see God has given to you. Now arise, get up, go conquer what is yours, the enemy will not vacate your inheritance without some resistance. From the day of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of God suffers violence, and the violent take it by force (Matthew 11:12). Walk in your promised land, for every place the sole of your foot treads upon, the Lord has given to you, as far as God is concerned it is already yours, since they nailed the feet of Jesus for that reason.

They nailed the hands of Jesus, so that whatever you lay your hand upon, shall prosper. The Lord your God shall bless you in all your works, and in all, to which you put your hand (Deuteronomy 15:10). What is the point of entering your promised land, and not prospering there! In the book of Deuteronomy 28, there are lots of curses which affect the works our hands, which lead to poverty. But Christ Jesus nailed all those curses that affect the works of our hands and that prevent us from conquering our promised land, He nailed them all on the cross, being made a curse for us. God says: I wish above all that you prosper and be in health just as your soul prospers (1John 3:2). The works of your hands are blessed, and our inheritance has been ransomed in full; we can walk into what has legally been provided for us, by Jehovah-Jireh, through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said He has come to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, or the year of Jubilee (Luke 4:19). The Jews had many ways God instructed them to expunge the debts of their fellow Jews, and restore their inheritance. Normally when a Jew was so poor or in debt, he could sell himself to slavery, or his creditor could sell him and his entire family to slavery, and seize all their possessions. But if they had a kinsman who was rich, he could ransom them from slavery, and pay their debt off, but if not, they had to wait for the seventh year: the year of release or shemittah (Deuteronomy 15:9); they were supposed to let their fellow Jews, who were slaves, go free with something. But their possessions were not released, so the houses, lands and flocks which were seized to pay off their debt, were not ransomed. On the year of Jubilee every fifty years, not only the Jewish slaves were released, but their possessions also were fully restored to them: houses, children, spouse, lands and flocks (Leviticus 25). They were ransomed in full, not just released from slavery, but also all their inheritance restored.

When Jesus said He came to proclaim or preach the acceptable year of the Lord, or year of Jubilee; He was telling the people, I have not just come to give you a shemittah, or save you from slavery to Satan. For we were slaves of sin, and Satan was our slave master, salvation of the soul, is not only what Jesus came to give us, but He came to give us the entire package, fully ransomed us: our spirit, soul and body, and all our possessions, that our captor, namely Satan was keeping. What Jesus was telling the people, is that you do not have to wait for fifty years, for you to receive your inheritance. I, Jesus, I am The year of Jubilee, if you believe in Me; not only will I save your soul from being a slave to sin and Satan, but I also save your spirit and body, and then restore your entire inheritance. You can have it now, when you believe in Jesus. Many people have not received that revelation. They think they have to wait for a particular year or a particular month, or a particular day, to receive the promise of the Lord. All those days, those Sabbath days, those Sabbath years or shemittah years, those new moons and those seasons, they were shadows pointing to Jesus the substance. And the climax of all those Sabbath days, Sabbath years, new moons, seasons, was the year of Jubilee, when one received the combination of all the promises.

Jesus tells us, He is the Jubilee of the Lord. All the promises of God are yes and amen, in Christ Jesus (2Corinthians 1:20). Paul tells the church of Galatia who were trying to reactivate the shadows of the Old Testament: how is it that you turn again to the weak and elementary or beggarly elements, to which you desire to be in bondage? You observe days, months, seasons and years. I am afraid for you, lest I have laboured for you in vain (Galatians 4:9-11). I was like that until the Lord strongly rebuked me, I would hear people say, this is the year 2008, the years of our new beginning; for number 8 is the number of new beginnings. This is the fifth month of the year; we will experience the grace of God, for number five is the number of grace, and so on and so forth. What was happening in my heart was, that I believed that only in 2008 I had a new beginning, and in 2009, no more new beginnings for the number had changed.

The same thing for days: I would wait for the Sabbath. You have the rest of the Lord, for number seven is the number of rest, and the other days I did not believe I could have the rest, for it was not the seventh day. Then God spoke to me, saying: son, which calendar are you following? The Jewish calendar is not our Judaeo-Christian calendar, the Arab calendar is not our calendar, the Chinese calendar is not our calendar, and the ancient Egyptian calendar is not our calendar. The month of January is the first month in our Judaeo-Christian calendar but not the first month in the Jewish calendar. In our Judaeo-Christian calendar we are, if for instance we are Sunday 1st January, 2012; it is 6th Tevet, 5772 in the Jewish calendar. The first month of the years in the Jewish calendar is not January but Nissan, which approximates out months of March – April. So the years are different and the months are different and the days are different!

All those things were just shadows, and Jesus is the substance or body. Do not try to go back into the Old Testament with its shadows; Jesus has come and has fulfilled all of them. Jesus is your rest every day, your fulfilment every day, you have a new beginning from the day you were born again, and every day you begin something new with God. There are many reasons preachers of the gospel try to reactivate the shadows of the Old Testament. The first reason is simply their ignorance: my people perish for lack of knowledge and because they have rejected knowledge (Hosea 4:6). They have nobody to explain to them the shadows of the Old Testament; how they were all pointing to Christ Jesus who is the substance, or the body and how Christ Jesus fulfilled each one of them! The second reason is because some people want to be “prophetic”; so they use days, weeks, months and years to tell you what God is saying. By so doing we have become like astrologers who predict the fortune of people based on their date of birth, the day, the week, the month and the year. And every New Year’s eve, we give those so-called prophecies for the twelve months of the year, based on the year in which we are, and the number of the month.

Of course God gives us specific directions for every year, do not get me wrong, and they are not based on the number of the month or on the digits of the year. Yes God can detail what He has planned to do in every month. When I was still in my spiritual diapers, I fell for those so-called prophecies they gave every New Year’s eve, based on months and the year of the calendar. They did me great harm, and when I did not experience what they said would happen in that month, or that year; I was angry, and God said to me: I was not in those so-called prophecies! Search the scriptures if you have found any of my prophets or apostles, giving My people prophecies based on the number of the day, the number of the months and the digits of the year in which they were? When God spoke something for a particular day, a particular month or a particular year, next year God did something totally different, you cannot box God. The word of God is true every day, every month and every year!

David tells us: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever (Psalm 23:6). Paul tells us: God said through Isaiah: I have heard you in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation, have I helped you: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation (2Corinthians 6:2). The promises of God follow us every day of our life. God helps us every time we ask for help, and He wants us to experience His perfect redemption plan every day. He said: I will never leave you, nor forsake you. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me (Hebrews 13:5-6). Do not get me wrong; God gives people directions for a year, for a day, for a week, for a month; but I want us to flee that religious spirit. If God has not told you what to prophesy, do not use days, months and years to prophesy every New Year’s eve! Some preachers will even be superstitious and never preach on the 13th of a month, for they think it is not a good number.

Israel fell into that religious trap! They had already written down what they thought God told them to do every month. For seventy years they did them, and God was not in their prophecies and religious activities they imposed on themselves for those months. God once instructed that for that specific year and specific month; but the next year God did not ask them that they should repeat the prophecy of the previous year for the same month, or repeat what God told them to do in that month the previous years. They came to their senses after seventy years of religion, and asked God if they should do the same things. The Word of Jehovah of Hosts came to Zechariah, saying, thus says the Lord of Hosts: The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah for joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts. Therefore love truth and peace (Zechariah 8:18-19). We explain in the “Application of the Perfect Redemption Plan” on the section on fasting, why God told them to fast those particular months, those particular years, but after those particular months of those particular years, God did not tell them to do it again, but they yoked themselves in religious activities for 70 years.

The third reason is, that some people want to be very “spiritual”, to show people that they have the original prophecy from the “lord”; they will use the Jewish calendar and prophesy out of the number of the months and years of the Jewish calendar. You see some of them on Christian Television; they call themselves “prophets or prophetesses”. We should not observe the days, months and years of both the Jewish calendar or the Judeo-Christian calendar, to prophecy; but instead we should seek the face of God in prayer, and let Him speak to us, what He is saying for that year, not based on its digits; but based on what God has in store in heaven, and always in line with the finished work of Christ on the cross.

Paul tells us: how do you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements to which you again desire to slave anew? You observe days and months and times and years. I fear for you, lest somehow I have laboured among you in vain (Galatians 4:9-11). If Paul was in our churches today, he would feel that he had laboured in vain, for the people have returned to the weak and beggarly elements, and desire to be in bondage again, to determine God’s blessing in their life according to those times, years, months when Christ has freed them from that slavery. Therefore let no one judge you in food or in drink, or in respect of a feast, or of the new moon [Jewish New Year], or of the Sabbaths [the seventh days, and all the feasts of Israel]. For these are a shadow of things to come, but the body or substance is of Christ. Let no one defraud you, delighting in humility and worship of the angels, intruding into things which he has not seen, without a cause being vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding the Head, from whom all the body, having been supplied through the joints and bands, and having been joined together, will grow with the growth of God (Colossians 2:16-19).

Paul tells us: we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man [vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][or of full age or mature in the faith and understood the perfect redemption plan of God], I put away childish things (1Corinthians 13:9-11). When I was a child, in my spiritual diapers, I knew in part, and I also spoke or prophesied in part, even like a child, and delighted in those shadows of the law, observing the days, months and years, be it the Judaeo-Christian calendar, or the Jewish calendar. But when that which was perfect was revealed to me, when I understood the majority of the shadows according to the written word of God, and the perfect redemption plan of God, which He provided for us, by the death and the resurrection of Jesus, I did away with the shadows, with observing days, months, years, Jewish calendar or secular calendar, food, etc. I now understood like a mature born again Christian, and I speak and prophesy like a mature born again Christian, in line with the perfect redemption plan of God!

II.8 Jehovah-Jireh our only source

Many believers do not see Jesus as their only source. They still trust in the arm of flesh. Whatever we will ever need on earth, Jehovah-Jireh has already provided it by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Abraham who had the revelation of Jehovah-Jireh said to the king of Sodom: I have raised my hand to the Lord, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth. That I will take nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap, and that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, “I have made Abram rich” (Genesis 14:22-23). Abraham knew that God, Jehovah-Jireh, was the source of His wealth and prosperity; his eyes were on the Lord and not on men. God says: if therefore your eye be single, your whole body shall be full of light (Matthew 6:22). As long as we are still looking at people to provide for us, God is not our only source. Many times our eyes are on a brother or sister who has some connections, or who is wealthy. When they do not help us, we are angry with them. When our eye is single, or our two eyes are looking in the same direction: to God; then we will never be mad at people, because they did not help us, because from the very beginning, our eyes were never on them, but on God like Abraham.

The Lord will provide for us like He did for Abraham. Healing: He healed the barren womb of Sarah. Finances: Abraham was very rich and in livestock, in silver and in gold (Genesis 13:2). God wants us to experience the manifestations of His blessings in our business: Abraham’s livestock was his business. Prosperity is the will of God for His people; He wants us to experience the manifestations of the blessing of Abraham, the father of faith; including financial blessing. One needs to read the “biblical prosperity” letter, to know how God wants to prosper us. Paul said: my God shall supply all your need, according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Yes, without the death and resurrection of Jesus, God could not have been able to restore our inheritance to us. Everything we will ever need in life, Jehovah-Jireh has provided by the death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, He is our only source. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the LORD our God (Psalm 20:7). According as His divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who has called us to glory and virtue. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these, you might be partakers of the divine nature (2Peter 1:3-4).

Finally my brothers and sisters, remain blessed, always abounding in the grace of God. May the Lord God pour on you and your house like He did for the house of David, and on the people of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of prayers. So that you and I will be able to tarry in prayer everyday for at least one hour, as Jesus commanded us in Matthew 26:40-41, so that we will not enter into temptation; for we know that the spirit is willing to watch and pray, but the flesh can be weak at times. And May we look on Jesus whom they pierced (Zechariah 12:10). As Paul told us: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2).

Agape love,

Your brother in the Lord,

G
